Overcome Fear Of Failure

In almost every aspect of life, there will be a fear of failure. Even the greatest of all time in different walks of life have had the fear of failure but the trick is to learn how to use that energy and to turn it into something positive.

If you do not have some sort of fear, then you most likely are not human. This is because humans are wired to have fear but once you are able to turn this fear into energy towards succeeding, you will then start to see the amazing changes in your life.

Depending on what the situation is, when you have a fear of failure, it most likely comes from the fact that you are lacking confidence.

If you are confident in your craft, then you will have less fear of failure. The goal is to have very little fear and to basically try to get as close to "fearless" as possible.

The closer you get to that euphoric state, then you will start to see that life was never too difficult. Once you get into the habit of always fearing failure, you will never open yourself up to ever feeling what success feels like.

You need to realize that every problem has a solution and only time will reveal the answer. If for some reason you do "fail," remember that this is only to test your patience because as cliche as it may sound, things will happen for a reason, no matter how bad things seem.

So you need to be thankful for every moment of your life and to remember that success and failure should be greeted with open arms. When you have this in mind, you will inevitably lose the fear of failure because you know that everything will happen for a reason.

Mountain Biking Let us face it, most of us have the best intentions when we start mountain biking. And during the first few months of riding, the enthusiasm is high. You even tell to yourself, "this time I am serious and will not quit." You ride for hours several times a week; shop sets of bike gears; upgrade the parts of your bike; or even buy a new bike. But just like other leisure and sport, your interest may begin to go down because you begin to create excuses for yourself such as you are busy with your work or you are tired and you cannot ride even on weekends. Once you start feeling this way, everything is downhill unless you do something about it. Do you want to know how to keep interested on mountain biking? Read on… Prioritize. The best way to quit mountain biking is create excuses such as lack of time and doing other much important things. While you really have to work or to do some important stuff in your life, it is really not an excuse to skip. How come you are able to do things other than biking? Think of it this way, if you put mountain biking on the top of your "things-to-do," would you still have the reason to skip? Learn to prioritize. Do not ride too much. Many mountain bikers who have decided to sit on the couch and watch tv instead of ride their bike have reasoned that they have lost interest in it. This is probably because they ride too much during the first weeks and get tired immediately. What you should do is to make a schedule at least once a week but not more than 5 times a week. Do not buy upgrades all at the same time. Many beginners are very enthusiastic about their newly-found hobby that they spend big amount of money to buy everything to make their bike the best. While there is nothing wrong with this, the tendency is to become a victim of their own obsession and losing interest right after because there is nothing more to do. Why not buy a bike and upgrade one part of the bike, enjoy it for a while before you buy another upgrade. This way, you always have something to look forward to and keep your anticipation and interest high. Get a riding buddy/join a group of rider Riding alone is good but riding with someone is better. If you know that someone is waiting for you on the trial, you will likely not skip. Or if your group have a scheduled time and day to ride together, you are more likely to be there. Music If you are getting tired of hearing nothing but the sound of your own breathing, then why not bring your MP3 player and play some music while you navigate through the mountain? Music keeps you entertained during long hours of driving. It does the same thing when mountain biking. Ride on different trails You will certainly get bored and lose interest if you ride on the same trail over and over again. Find other places to ride. Take this time to explore other areas you haven't been to. Ride on at least 4 or 5 trails a month, one trail each week. If it is not possible to have many trails, change your riding route regularly and present yourself with new challenges.

People who walk daily have a lesser incidence of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other killer diseases. Not only does walking make you healthier but it also burns calories, creates psychological well being, increases metabolism, strengthens muscles, increases flexibility, improves respiratory function and helps concentration and memory. This should give you plenty of reasons to try and walk a little each and every day. Besides that, simple physical inactivity is one of the leading causes of ill health. Walking not only benefits you but it also benefits the Earth. Yet, most people still use their vehicles to make short trips, which could easily be made by walking. If you can even make the simple choice to walk once a week when you would normally drive you will go a long way toward making a difference both in your pocket book as well as in your life. Walking is also a stress reducer. Stress has been proven to contribute more than any other factor to the reduction of longetivity. Walking can help reduce that stress and increase your longetivity. One of the primary reasons people decide to walk is to lose pounds. There are some simple formulas you can use to determine how many calories are being burned according to your weight and how fast you are walking. 3.0 miles/hour (20-minute mile): Burns .027 calories/pound/minute. 3.5 miles/hour (17 minute mile): Burns .033 calories/pound/minute. 4.0 miles/hour (15 minute mile): Burns .042 calories/pound/minute. 4.5 miles/hour (13 minute mile): Burns .047 calories/pound/minute. Take the number of calories/pound/minute you burn and multiply it by your weight and then by the number of minutes you walk. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds and walk a 20-minute mile for 60 minutes, you multiply 150 by .027, then multiple the result (4.5) by 60. You burn 270 calories. It is important that when you do walk that you walk at a moderate pace. Walking will do you no good if it is so leisurely that you exert no effort. A good walk should leave you moderately perspired. This ensures that you are working at an ideal intensity. Walking is a habit like anything else. If you can create a habit of walking everyday it will contribute to a new and healthy you in the long term.

Your Health and Your Protein Shake Protein drinks are drinks with high protein content. They are made by adding a protein source to fluids. There are also protein powders available in drug stores and groceries. They are considered food and nutrient supplements. With the popularity of protein drinks and powders, are these drinks beneficial or detrimental to our health. Proteins are indeed necessary for our body. Protein helps in building muscles, skins, hairs, nails and internal organs. There are twenty amino acids needed for the human body to grow. Eight amino acids are produced by our body. So, when the amount of food that you eat increases, so does your calorie intake and your protein intake increases proportionally. Eating plant foods like vegetables, whole grains, beans, and nuts can get you the protein amount you need without drinking protein shakes and powders. There are some studies concerning protein shakes and powders. These studies showed that when whey protein is added to rat diet, there is a relative increase of tumors and cancers. That is why most researchers and health care professionals, show concern on the high consumption of protein supplements. But both sides agree that protein drinks should never be the only source of protein. As mentioned, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans and whole grains can amount into about 50 grams of protein per 1000 calories. Consuming green vegetables would give you the needed protein without heart and cancer risks. Also, animal products are good sources of protein. Aside from the protein that you will get from these vegetables, you also get natural antioxidants that can protect you against other risks of heart diseases, hypertension and cancer. Too much is never too wise. In a survey, the East German Olympic team of 1964, which are composed of 600 athletes, there are less than 10 people alive today.
